From the tidal creeks of South Carolina and Georgia to the crystal-clear flats around the World, our mission is to craft high-quality, purpose-driven fly rods that honor the timeless traditions of angling and the adventurous lifestyle it represents.
Our journey began with a lifelong love of fishing and a commitment to serve. After years of military service, we returned to the Lowcountry—where palmettos sway and redfish tail in the golden marshes. This is where our passion for fly fishing truly flourished, and where the idea of LOWco Rods™ was born.

About Adam
My love for fishing started as soon as I could walk, tagging along with my dad to the water’s edge in my home state of Georgia. When I was 13, a neighbor gave me an extremely used fly rod as payment for helping out in their garden under the sweltering Georgia sun. I taught myself to cast and spent countless hours chasing bluegill and largemouth bass in our family pond—it was an exhilarating way to grow up in the country. That passion for fishing stayed with me through 24 years of Army service, providing peace and connection no matter where I was stationed. After retiring, I founded LOWco Rods™ to combine my lifelong love of fly fishing with a commitment to creating quality gear inspired by the beautiful waters of the Lowcountry. I started repairing and building rods when we moved here in 2016 and it just grew into this. I specialize in designing and building custom rods. Now, with the opportunity to craft fly rods full-time, I am proud to turn my passion into a lifelong journey.
About Liz
My passion lies in creating thoughtful designs and meaningful connections with people, something I strive to bring into everything I do. While I didn’t grow up fishing like Adam, his passion for the sport was contagious, and I’ve since found my own love for it, fully embracing the Lowcountry lifestyle and all it has to offer. As the behind-the-scenes force at LOWco Rods™, I draw on my military discipline and years of corporate experience to keep the business running smoothly and Adam on track. I also love lending my design eye to many of our products, adding a personal and creative touch to the brand. For me, any chance to be outdoors and connect with nature is a gift, so supporting Adam’s dream and helping bring LOWco Rods™ to life felt like a natural progression—a way to blend my skills with our shared passion for the Lowcountry and its waters.
